Holiday Cottage
Trewellard
West Cornwall
Original stone flagging, exposed granite walls, a granite inglenook fireplace, and beamed ceilings testify to the cottage's origins as the home of a 19th century mining family. Today these are tastefully complemented with attractive furniture and modern conveniences to provide everything you need for a very comfortable stay.
The area is great for walking - the South West Coast Path is just minutes away, and there are many lovely inland walks across the moorland. There are pristine beaches nearby for swimming and picnicking. There is also plenty for birdwatchers and other nature lovers.
The cottage is in the small village of Trewellard, in the far west of Cornwall, about 1 mile from the coast. Sitting between farmland and moorland, there are sweeping views westwards to the sea. But it is the old engine houses and chimneys standing on the nearby cliffs that add a unique dimension to this corner of the country - a poignant reminder of the women and men who toiled in the tin and copper mines over the centuries.
